In catering for the broad range of
taxation, accounting, auditing, law and practice
management issues we have again tried to incorporate
your requests into the content of our lecture programme.
Please let me know if there are any further areas you
would like covered in the future. Despite rising costs
we have held our 2010 course fees at the same level as
in 2009.
One request which has recurred
numerous times is for a course which explains the basic
workings and uses of trusts. One of our members highly
recommended a course which has now been booked for the
afternoon of 10 June. However, it is limited to 30
delegates. If a greater number wish to attend, a second
course will be run.
The
uncertainties of the timing of the General Election make
it difficult to describe our usual June Finance Bill
lecture. We may have had a Finance Act and a further
Bill by the end of June. Rest assured Robert Jamieson
will bring us right up to date both on the content and
then in the afternoon on his planning ideas.
Apart from
inviting back a number of our regular excellent and very
popular lecturers we have heeded your pleas for the
return of more recent Offa Group lecturers and are
delighted that both Louise Dunford and Jonathan Wilkey
are to present half day sessions next year.
In mid June Dean
Wootten will bring us up to date with the complex
changes in VAT. He will further address important recent
changes in International VAT, changes which those
business clients who are involved with the buying and
selling of goods and services within and outside the EU
will need advice. Full details of this and our many
other 2010 courses are to be found within this brochure.
If there is anything further you wish to know please do
not hesitate to contact me.
